The Exmormon Foundation has just published its first Newsletter called The New Expositor.

On the right of this web page you will see a link to Newsletters. The significance of the name "The New Expositor" is this: When Joseph Smith was alive, he was practicing and advocating polygamy - in fact said it was a sin "NOT" to practice polygamy - some people felt that was wrong and started a newspaper called "The Expositor" to "expose" this practice.

Joseph Smith was mayor of Nauvoo, ILL at that time. He ordered the destruction of the printing press for which act he and his brother were put in jail. The jail was stormedby a mob and Joseph and his brother were killed - however, not before he fired back (interestingly enough he had a gun in jail) and shot some of his attackers. Hence, there was only one issue of "The Expositor."
