Reachout Trust is looking for a volunteer with some
understanding of the media and the way it works. The hours per month
would be up to the person and reasonable expenses for phone calls etc
could be provided if agreed in advance.
The basic areas the job would
cover are:
- Keeping
up to date with current news stories and being aware of the ones that
Reachout Trust should be communicating on. Also to have an awareness
of events, such as Halloween or Watchtower Conventions that we should
be making a statement about.
- Liaising
with the 'officials' of the Trust so that you are aware of what Reachout
Trust is doing, such as, seminars they are taking, book releases,
new initiatives.
- Liaising
with the 'officials' of the Trust so that you are aware of events
that are happening, such as, Jehovah's Witness Conventions and Occult
festivals.
- Drafting
out any Press Releases relevant to the issues mentioned above and
forwarding them to the 'officials' of the Trust for further action.
- Making
personal contacts with those in the Media and keeping the name of
Reachout Trust and the work they are engaged in before these folks.
- Seeking
to arrange interviews and media appearances for 'officials' of the
Trust.
- Being ready to assist with the production of other
publications for church leaders etc and where possible make contact
with these people.
