Does 1 Corinthians 8:6 teach that Jesus is not God?

This verse does not say that there is only one God and that is the Father. It says that there is only one God the Father, which of course is true. It is not saying that Jesus is not an expression of the Godhead or that He cannot be called God the Son. Indeed the way that the two are clearly linked show that there is a real oneness between them and their ministries.

Indeed a careful look at this first shows clearly that the work assigned to the Father here that everything came from Him is assigned to the Son in Colossians 1:16. This is a perfect illustration of the oneness of the Godhead.

Beyond this we need to ask the question, if the phrase "one God, the Father" means that Jesus is not God, does the phrase "one Lord, Jesus Christ" mean that the Father is not Lord? No one believes that because Jesus is called one Lord that means the Father is not so why should the phrase one God mean that Jesus is not God. To argue that from this verse is illogical.
