Reachout was founded in 1982 and became a registered charity in 1986. Today we are one of the foremost Christian groups in our field. This vital work needs financing and to bring about a regular income and make us more effective we have produced a number of partnership schemes.

Giving through your pay packet. You need to set this up with your employer, stating you want to give to Reachout Trust on a regular basis. They simply need to sign up to a Payroll Giving Agency who administer the scheme. The money will then be taken from your pay packet and passed directly to us. You benefit by receiving tax relief and we benefit because until April 2004 we will receive an extra 10% from the Government.

Since April 2000 the donor can get relief against their personal income tax bill on most shares that are given to a charity. Further information can be found in the Inland Revenue leaflet, IR178. There may be certain types of shares that we would not want to accept for moral or ethical reasons but in normal circumstances we would be very grateful for such a donation. The fourth way is for you to consider leaving a donation for Reachout Trust in your will. It is estimated that charities receive £1.1 billion each year this way.
