The word occult is used for a wide range of activities that have a number of things in common. The word occult means hidden - in other words what you see on the outside is not what is at the heart of the experience. There are aspects that you just do not know about until you get involved.

The occult is also opening up to a supernatural power. The power is greater than us as human beings and so in the end it will have control of us; we will not be able to control it.

Although occult practices often, at first, give you information that appears to bring freedom, many of them will end by bringing you into some form of occult and spiritual bondage.
